Where is Altify located?

Altify is a London-headquartered company with satellite offices in Cape Town.

Who is Altify's CEO?

Sean Sanders, is Altify's CEO and Founder. Sean has been Altify's CEO since the company's inception in 2019. Prior to Altify he worked in the investment industry at Knife Capital, Draper-Gain Investments and Sabvest Capital.

Who are the investors behind Altify?

Altify has received investment from Johannesburg Stock Exchange-listed speciality investment group Sabvest as well as several VCs including High-Tech Gründerfonds, CVVC, Emurgo, Founders Factor Africa and Calm Storm Ventures.

Additionally, Altify has several notable angel investors including Patrick Pöschl, co-founder of the Munich-based robo-advisor Scalable Capital, which is now valued as a unicorn (over €1 billion valuation), Christopher Oster, co-founder and CEO of the insurance manager CLARK, Florian Gschwandtner, co-founder of the fitness app Runtastic and investor on Austria’s startup TV show “2 minutes 2 millions”, Austria’s most famous startup investor Johann “Hansi” Hansmann who has accompanied Austria’s largest start-up exits (including Runtastic, Shpock and mySugr), as well as Frank Westermann, co-founder of the diabetes app mySugr.

How was Altify formed?

Is it safe to use Altify?

Altify employs best practices in terms of security, by utilising advanced security technologies. All assets held on Altify are collateralised 1:1 at all times and we take great care to protect the assets of our clients from loss.

However, no amount of security on our end can make up for inadequate personal security. To protect your Altify account, we strongly suggest that you enable 2FA, use a strong unique password and never share your password with anyone.

How much does it cost to open an Altify account?

Altify does not charge any account opening fees or monthly account fees. Low trading, rebalancing and withdrawal fees are charged with all of these costs disclosed to you before you transact.

What would happen if Altify closed down?

In the unlikely scenario of Altify closing down, your assets, including both your cash and investments, held with Altify would be returned to you.
